------------------------------------------ write down to remind yourself how it can be
Mia Arabella Lectouir was wandering around the small shopping mall in Port Angeles. There wasn’t much left of the old world where humans ran free from vampires, and there weren’t so many packs running around. Mia wished she was alive at that time, would be able to see the subtle harmony between the races, and not the unnecessary violence, all the corruption. It was almost like a silent war was waging, building up to a melt down that was not to far ahead of them. Mia sighed as she walked the abandoned streets…every now and then a human would pass her by, but she would ignore them for the time being. Without her pack with her she was nothing…practically vulnerable. They survived in numbers and she knew that, she wasn’t stupid. Yet if someone came up to her begging for her assistance she would most likely help them in whatever way she possibly could. Even if that meant risking her own life for that person…it’s just how Mia was. At last she reached the shopping mall and it was surprisingly well packed with humans…and yet it also reaked of vampire. Mia ignored the smell as best as she possibly could as she entered one of the shops. Everyone turned to glance at her before resuming what they were shopping for. Relieved that she didn’t look suspicious she walked through the many racks filled with various styles of clothing. Picking a shirt up she glanced it over and looked at the price for a moment. That automatically changed her mind and she put it in its proper place on the shelf. word count: 270 tagged: opened for now outfit: [link=http://www.polyvore.com/y0u_f0und_me_hearts/set?id=7296190[/img]CLICK ME[/link] lyrics: love song || anberlin notes: woo!! shopping!! Weston Patton---------------------------------------------------------------------- He didn't come around here much, the fact it was a mall, but for one, he had nothing better to do. Two, there was a lot of others in the mall that maybe he could get chatting with. He wasn't very social, but he wasn't really anti-social either. It was a confusing concept, but he was somewhere in the middle of the social scale mess.
His whole life he found was a mess of it's own. He didn't have a pack to rely on, since he wasn't really loyal to anyone, and he found himself always getting in some sort of trouble. Sometimes, he would cross across a bloodsucker that could read minds, and lets just say that Weston's wasn't very pleasant. The fact that he hated all the bloodsuckers and wanted them all dead wasn't really something a mind reading vampire would find amussing. Maybe they would, depending on who they were.
What was a terrible thing he could hardly stomach in the mall was the stenching smell covering the place like chocolate frosting covered a cake. He was so strong here as little vampires shopped around with their humans at their side. Some humans traveled alone, but not for long. It was sicking, considering once, he was a human.
But a sudden scent struck him, feeling like it could knock him down with a simple touch on his shoulder. There was a smell that was neither human, nor vampire/bloodsucker. In fact it was... a werewolf. This made him turn his head in all directions. But then he remembered where he was, and tried not to attract attention to himself. Another problem was that some of the bloodsuckers were staring at him. He wasn't sure if their knowledge on werewolves were there, but they must guess it very easily.
Great, no attention...yet. Still, he had to find where that scent was coming from. He had never met another werewolf before, so scenting this was like scenting a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. His blue eyes scanned the area, jerking his head to get the blond hair out of his eyes. He spotted...her. Or what he thought was her. He walked in, hoping he could get the words to come out. He was never really the best at first impressions.
"Hey." He tried to greet causly. He didn't know if she was in a pack or not, but he silentally hoped so just to show there was others in the area.

Mia could smell a distinct scent roam into the area she was in. It caught her off guard for a moment, since she wasn't expecting another of her kind to be around here. Yet she could tell that it wasn't from her pack just by the smell, she knew what her pack mates smelled like and this wasn't it. She turned around immediately to notice a rather tall male standing there looking back at her. A welcoming smile immediately was upon her face and couldn't help but notice the blonde haired, blue eyes boy walk up to her. He said hello and Mia responded, "Hey, I'm Mia Lectouir, and you are?" She looked around the store and took notice that there were a few vampires beginning to crowd in. Cursing under her breath she gave the boy a look to show how unpleasant it was. "Do you mind if we leave here? It's getting a little... overcrowded." She hissed the last word glaring at a few vampires coming through the door. word count: || tagged: weston ;] outfit: [link=http://www.polyvore.com/y0u_f0und_me_hearts/set?id=7296190[/img]CLICK ME[/link] lyrics: love song || anberlin notes: woo!! shopping!! Weston Patton---------------------------------------------------------------------- He gave a crocked smile, which he didn't do a lot of these days in the vampires world. Before he could tell her his name, the stench of bloodsucker filled his nose. You would think he would be use to the smell since it was now everywhere he went, but this was overpowering. As if Mia could read his mind, he nodded, "Agreed."
Stepping out of the store, he felt a little more relieved. It was a little more airy, though the smell was still there. Thankfully, not as strong. "Nice suggestion. And I'm Weston. Weston Patton." He told her, feeling the staring starting to calm down just a little bit.

Mia couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in the store. When the man said that he wanted to leave as well, relief washed over her for a second and she followed him out of the store into the less crowded pathways. Yet she could still feel the vampires stares, still feel them watching them, and it irked her. She smiled over at Weston and said, "It's very nice to meet you. You seem like you are rather new here? I haven't seen you around the Reservation." She added a little trying to get to know him a little better than what she did at the moment. While they walked though Mia kept her defenses up just in case some vampire decided to pull a stupid move. word count: || tagged: weston ;] outfit: CLICK MElyrics: love song || anberlin notes: woo!! shopping!! Weston Patton---------------------------------------------------------------------- His eyes didn't seem to dart around all the time like he normally did. They, for once, focused on one place, which was very different to him. It was like trying to walk backward all the time. It was do able, but unnatural. Still, he didn't want to be rude and look like a skiddish little scaredy cat child alone on the street. He was alone on the street, but this thought didn't bother him much. He wasn't really a pack person, but would find them in handy in situations with vampires. Werewolves often won for two main and important reasons: numbers and that they were born, raised, and instincted to hunt and kill bloodsuckers.
He also noticed his language from vampires and bloodsuckers changed. It more of when he talked in general, it was vampire. When he was talking about one and discrution of them, it was always a bloodsucker. It was how he addressed things. No, he didn't call werewolves mutt, for that would be stupid to insult yourself. And Weston wasn't stupid... or what he thought anyway. He could get five random people to tell him different.
"Yeah, I just came here not too long ago from Minnosota." It was very uncommon for a werwolf to be found anywhere in the world. It was very RARE to find a werewolf that came from some random place of Minnosota. It didn't make sense to anyone, but thats where he was. Mostly because his mother lived there while his father moved from a place like west northern places, such as Washington. "Do you live here? Or around here?" He asked in interest.

Mia was slightly taken a back by his answer to where he was from. Minnesota? That was very peculiar for a shifter to be in. Unless it was overrun by vampires, but still it was odd to hear. Mia just couldn't grasp at the fact that he was from such a...random...state. At least to her it was very random, she never really met anyone from there, or heard anything great about it even. "Well, that's an interesting place to stay." She chuckled and then added, "Yeah, I live in La Push, not too far from here actually. The Reservation really doesn't allow blood suckers across the borders, otherwise the packs living among it deal with the problem." She lead them outside of the mall completely into the deserted streets once again. Here she felt safer and put some space between her and the vampires around here. "Do you have a place to stay? Or are you just strolling through?" She asked him. He had to have a place where he was going, whether if he was just passing through Washington or not. word count: || tagged: weston ;] outfit: CLICK MElyrics: love song || anberlin notes: woo!! shopping!! Weston Patton---------------------------------------------------------------------- A small sideways smile came on his face as she said it was interesting place to stay. He guess it was, if he thought about it. Also considering Minnosota was quite aways away from this place. The sun shinned a lot there, but vampires wern't in hiding anymore, so they came to the sun just because. It defintally something to see a lot of vampires crossing when the sun was out. It was like looking at a bunch of shinny sparkly diamonds.
He heard about LaPush, and didn't think that would be a bad place. A place where vampires wern't actually allowed when they were the top of the... food chain if you will. Werewolves could probably easily beat them if they had more numbers. Werewolves were getting harder and harder to find, so thinking there was a whole town probably full of them made Weston think a little differently on his situation.
Thinking about her question, Weston was a little puzzled. He wasn't quite sure if he needed one or not. It had never been a problem before, but he found vampires more populated in cloudy areas such as this one. After thinking about it a little more, he was strolling through. Then again, the reason he was traveling was to find another pack, and it seemed that she was in one. So was his quest, for now, over? He wasn't sure. "I'm not quite sure what I want to do yet." He told her, summing up what was going through his head.

Mia chuckled a little at his answer and shook her head. She understood how that was, she went through that stage at one point also. Yet she eventually came back to Miles...he was her alpha and brother after all. How could she not go back to her family? That's what made her who she was in the first place. "Well, you're welcome to stay with us if you want to." She told him and smiled over at him as well. As they walked along the street she couldn't help but get that awkward feeling that someone was watching them. She stopped for a moment and looked behind her but saw nothing there. Shrugging the feeling off she continued to walk with Weston, but she still kept her guard up. word count: || tagged: weston ;] outfit: [link=http://www.polyvore.com/y0u_f0und_me_hearts/set?id=7296190[/img]CLICK ME[/link] lyrics: love song || anberlin notes: woo!! shopping!! Weston Patton---------------------------------------------------------------------- He was flattered by the offer. He wasn't sure weither to take it or not, so he said, "It would be nice to stay around some others for a while..." He was more thinking out loud then anything. What he meant by others was other werewolves. He had never met another werewolf before, which why he was really enjoying the start of his day. On top of that, there was a whole pack of them. That was the best news he had heard in quite a while. "Tell me about your pack...I mean...what is it like...to have more of them beside you?" He asked, honestly and truely interested. He wanted to know to see if he would ever join any sort of pack. Maybe he would just be better if he was by himself. He couldn't really start his own pack...since he wasn't really alpha material. Or what he saw anyways.

"Settling down for a little bit could be a good thing." Mia added on to his statement and smiled suggestively to him. It would be nice to have another member to the pack. They haven't had much new blood, well they haven't had new blood since her brother became alpha anyways. "About the pack?" She asked to herself as a rush of memories came flooding back to her. "Well, I've known all of them since I was about ten, my father was the alpha in the pack, so naturally I knew them all. They've been basically my family, and now that my parents are both dead, my brother took the role as alpha. So, to me it's nothing really new at all." word count: || tagged: weston ;] outfit: [link=http://www.polyvore.com/y0u_f0und_me_hearts/set?id=7296190[/img]CLICK ME[/link] lyrics: love song || anberlin notes: woo!! shopping!! Weston Patton---------------------------------------------------------------------- He nodded, thinking a little more about settling down. It would be a new experience completely, but maybe it would be good for him. That was hard to believe, since he had been on his own for a while now. Plus, he wasn't sure if he could take the pain of coming close to anyone again. That was one of the main reasons he was by himself; that isn't including the fact that he could go do what he wanted without worrying about others to protect or look after.
He listened to her story, feeling the strangest feeling of similarity. He knew the feeling of losing his parents, but at least she had a brother to help her. He had no one. Still, parents were hard on someone; unless the parents were cruel, abusive people. That death was just justice acting on the world.
"Glad your brother was there for you. Is it an advantage having your brother as the alpha, or a pain?" He asked, a little humor near the end. He didn't know for himself, but he heard that siblings could be a giant pain sometimes. That was just friendly rival, however. Nothing that would really matter. Unless the siblings hated each other. That would suck.

Mia loved her parents to death, and when they died it absolutely devastated her. She was extremely close to them both and it seemed like she didn't even have the appropriate timing to get over it properly. Since her brother immediately became alpha and she became beta of the pack. She had to assume responsibility and help Miles hold the pack up right before it fell over. Or worse...vampires got to them. Mia smiled and shook her head at his question, there were so many memories with Miles. Some were of their fights, which they got over that day normally, but most were of the amazing times they had together. "Miles is my twin brother so we've been tight ever since birth. It's an advantage, he's alpha, I'm beta. I know that Miles was the right choice to replace the alpha position...I'm not the type of person to handle that responsibility." She told Weston smiling. word count: || tagged: weston ;] outfit: [link=http://www.polyvore.com/y0u_f0und_me_hearts/set?id=7296190[/img]CLICK ME[/link] lyrics: love song || anberlin notes: woo!! shopping!! Weston Patton---------------------------------------------------------------------- It wasn't everyday that Weston met a person with a twin. When he was littler, he said he always wanted a twin. A lot of people, especially young kids, said that they wanted a twin. Most reasons caused to have someone that looked so much like you that it confused people. The reason Weston wanted one when he was younger was so he could have someone excataly his age to talk to.
He never heard of the position of a beta before. He didn't want to ask what it was; then he would feel stupid asking. Maybe it was one of those obvious things he didn't understand. All he heard from a pack was that females were a rare situation, and that there was the alpha, co alpha, all that good stuff. Maybe beta was the co alpha, just in different words. Either way, Weston was going to ask and look like a navie idiot.
There was a question he was itching to ask, but it was a little much for just meeting her. It was a personal question he would hesitate on asking. Still, the question was too strong and curious to ignore. "If you don't mind me asking...how did your parents died?" He wanted to know mostly if there was another family like him; they lost thier parents to a bunch of bloodsuckers. That probably wasn't uncommon, but it would be the first he met that were werewolves.
