X'S ON THE BACK OF YOUR HAND WASH THEM IN THE BATHROOM JUST TO DRINK LIKE THE BAND ----------------------------------- Rory decided that it would be fun to walk around the town of Seattle. Though, she would be much happier if she had some music, she decided that silence was good too. Her steps were very graceful, even though she wasn’t a vampire. She was never this graceful as a child. As a child, she was very klutzy and she would fall over and down everything. However, as she got older and had to do more work around the vampire’s house, she found that she could be more graceful. With having to mother two kids and do work, there was no way she could be a klutz. And if she was, it was either she hurt her little brother and sister, or she would be very bad at the house work.
Rory walked by the abandoned shacks that were in Seattle. She wished that she could just take her siblings and run off to here. But Tyler wasn’t as bad as people made him out to be really. Even though he still was her owner, she decided that it was better to do what he says than to just blow him off. If she ever got hurt, she’d never forgive herself. She didn’t want to end up like her father, and she needed to be the parent for her brother and sister.
Why were those two younglings on her mind so much? It wasn’t like they were with her. If they were, this walk would be a lot more hectic. They wanted everything, whether it is food, or even just something to buy. However, they were still her family. Rory stopped in front of the houses and just looked at them. She imagined living in there, her brother acting like the little man that he is and both of them would take care of their younger sister. She was the little princess of their dysfunctional family. Being the baby, she always over dramatized things, but Rory didn’t mind. It would be wonderful if she didn’t sometimes, but it was her blood. It was how she lived.

CURIOSITY, THE YOUNG AND THE FREE ! there for all to see, entranced, burned by the flame.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Pacing the streets, Dietrich looked at the abandoned houses as he walked by. There was something so sad and dreary about them that made him feel for them as if they were humans. Poor, diluted, and oppressed humans. He didn't know why he felt so much for a supposedly lost cause, but he pushed on and kept his philosophy of possible peace between people. Few shared it and few believed it would ever happen in the end, but he would keep the vision in his head and never let go because he simply didn't want to. If he let go of it in his brain, it would be let go in reality and that was the worst thing that could happen. Even if the possibility or grand illusion of peace was lost, the world would lose touch with him forever, if it hadn't already.
In the past, the world wasn't like this and he had no idea how it evolved into slavery and problems. Vampires used to hide themselves, but now they had big heads and wanted to be out in the open. To be completely honest, the years from the 1920's until the present moment he was in was a complete blur. It was as if life had slipped him by, like it had so many times before. He wasn't the type of person to be proactive about a decision. He would sit back and hope that the cards played in his favor, or hope for some type of advantage to show up at his door. Taking action to his thoughts was never truly something he was fond of. He much preferred to set an example and to let what he thought come to life and do all of the talking, but there was no way to show his vision in a world that was so dark and closed off to anything besides the norm. His mind was showered with pessimistic thoughts. He physically shook; trying to get them out, but there was no such luck.
Strolling at a more relaxed pace, he stared at the sky. Inside the clouds was a hit of red that reflected the glitter in his eye. While he was a supposedly vegetarian vampire, he had his slip ups in the past, but like any alcoholic, he was ten years 'sober'. He surprised himself with the control he had over his hunger and realized that it had not struck him all day. Normally, he would crave something in the night, but there was no midnight snack the night before. He had the appetite of a newborn, but only for animal blood, never human anymore. One single cut could set him off though.
With these thoughts in mind, he spied something making its way towards him. The human figure, clearly smelling of the blood that ran through her veins, was strolling around, much like Deitrich was at the moment. The look in her eyes told him that she was thinking long and hard about something on her mind. For a moment, he thought to pay her no attention and brush her off. She was probably abused by her master or something, but no cuts of bruises were shown on her clear, pale body. She was gorgeous; a classic beauty. Dietrich smiled to himself as the gap between them closed. Her face looked familiar, as if he had seen someone like her long before. No doubt he probably met her relatives from the past, but there was something about her that made his heart jump a little. Without a word, he stopped.

X'S ON THE BACK OF YOUR HAND WASH THEM IN THE BATHROOM JUST TO DRINK LIKE THE BAND ----------------------------------- Rory was so caught up in her dreams about escaping with her brother and sister that she didn’t even notice the man that was standing in front of her. But when she turned to continue walking, she saw him standing there, looking at her. Her first instinct was to look behind her. Why? She didn’t exactly think that boys would look at her like that, especially boys as gorgeous as this one was. She did just that, and looked behind her before looking back at him. No one was there, and so he must’ve been looking at her. There was no one else for him to look at.
She took small steps, not so small that she didn’t get anywhere, but small enough that she didn’t advance toward him very fast. When she finally reached him, she tilted her head to the side and gave him a quick once over, or, if you want to say it this way, checked him out. She slid her hands into the pockets of her jeans and brought her head back into the upright position. “Hi,” she said, her voice quiet. She noticed the color of his eyes and immediately took one step back out of instinct. It was like she had stepped out of place. ‘Humans aren’t supposed to make friends with vampires,’ a very wise man once told her, her dad, ‘Unless you want to get killed.’
Rory bit the inside of her cheek. ‘I guess there are two ways to get killed around here,’ she thought to herself and back to her father’s death. How tragic it had been, how there had been no blood left of him and how cold his skin felt. That’s why their family fled to Forks, where they found a better master. Someone who wasn’t as harsh, but he was still a vampire. And her brother and sister, and even her self, got to go out sometimes. And they were able to do things around the house on their breaks. She clasped her hands in front of herself, a small scab from where she was wrestling with her brother on her forefinger.
It was easy to fool around in a house so big. They would always wrestle, or even just play games. But no one would expect this girl to be such a rowdy person. Truth was she was only like that around her brother. However, if it called for someone else, she would definitely show that side to someone else. She brought herself out of her thoughts and back to this guy, a vampire, and why he happened to be staring at her. There had to be a reason, and one that didn’t include Rory of course, but what could it be? She knew she wasn’t exactly the type to have guys looking at her, and yet, this guy was.
